About YFER

YFER is an Australian based company providing innovative, practical education programs especially for male and female adolescents both nationally and internationally. YFER also develops and provides educational resources.

Education and Training for a positive Parenting Future
 “Core of Life” program is our most established program.  This is a unique “hands on” life education program designed by midwives to co -present male and female adolescents and other client groups within a community with real and factorial information on what is involved in becoming pregnant, giving birth and parenting a newborn. Youth/Health/Education workers attend a two day training workshop to become Core of Life facilitators.

YFER is currently developing along with its project partners, several new programs for:

  • Males – especially fatherhood and families

  • Home safety – practical applications

  • High needs groups – residential care and disabilities sector

  • Community cross-cultural consultations
